3D-X-Ray

For all of our patients starting their initial treatment, we use the latest 3D digital x-rays illustrated below. We are fortunate to have a dedicated X-Ray Lab in San Rafael that continuously upgrades their equipment to the latest available technology such as the newest Cone Beam 3D digital X-Rays. These are very different from the normal two dimensional digital X-Rays commonly found in private dental offices. This digital 3D technology provides the following advantages:

• Reduced total number of X-Rays needed
   
• Decreased radiation exposure by up to 90%
   
• More clinical information on roots and developing teeth.
   
• Eliminates the need for study model impressions
