We feel that the most natural treatment plan is often the best.
We provide nickel free, latex free treatment in our office for people with allergies.
We do not put bands around the back teeth for our full treatment cases. We find that gluing small brackets on all the teeth is easier to clean and healthier for the gum tissue. We feel that this is worth the possibility of an occasional loose bracket which we can replace at no charge.
To protect the teeth and prevent decay, we use a special protective sealant to cover the tooth surface when the braces are put on.
In addition to providing all patients with oral hygiene instructions and a comprehensive tooth care kit, we also hand out a tube of special, prescription-only toothpaste to use while the appliances are on. For patients who prefer to avoid mint-flavored products, we offer berry-flavored toothpaste as an alternative.
In keeping with the most current research literature, we are in favor of the topical exposure of the tooth surface to fluoride to minimize tooth decay. However, if this does not fit into your health care philosophy, please let us know so that we can accommodate your needs.
We have a natural breeze from the bay to keep the office cool, eliminating the need for air conditioning.
